The Tamar Center and the Holy Crusade against Buddhism.

In bars, women try to induce men to buy expensive drinks along with sexual services. Sex usually takes place in a separate but attached building. Prices are mostly set by the bar owner and the money is shared between the owner and the prostitute.”

Picture above is alright with Daniel as long as it’s in Germany

At first sight, one might assume that the text above pertains to a newsletter from the Tamar Center, detailing various bars in Pattaya, Thailand. However, such an assumption would be incorrect. The description pertains to a venue situated in Radevormwald, Germany, the hometown of Daniel Vaupel, the director of the Tamar Center. Across Germany, there are numerous bars and establishments where women have the opportunity to rent small one-room apartments, enabling them to engage in solicitation for sexual services. Sounds like a good place to visit or live.

However, Daniel and his wife have chosen to wage a CRUSADE against the people of Thailand. The same activity that he vilifies is prevalent in his hometown and throughout his home country. The question that needs to be answered is why Daniel and his wife believe the working people of Thailand should be different than his countrymen. Here’s the question Daniel, why Pattaya, and what are your motives for participating in an NGO CRUSADE against Thailand?

Prostitution is legally sanctioned in Germany, encompassing various facets of the sex industry, including the operation of brothels. Despite this legal framework from his home country, Daniel and his wife consistently defame bars in Pattaya as brothels, and he characterizes the owners and employees as human traffickers. In Germany, full-service sex work is prevalent and subject to regulation, yet this reality does not prevent Daniel from seeking to undermine the livelihoods of Thai men and women. The German government has implemented laws designed to enhance the conditions of sex work, which include requirements for sex worker registration and the use of condoms. While both the German government and Daniel’s community partake in the legal enjoyment of sexual services and advocate for the rights of sex workers, numerous human rights organizations view these practices as tantamount to trafficking and exploitation. This raises a critical question regarding the apparent double standard held by Daniel and the Tamar Center, who seem to believe they can impose their moral framework on others while living by different standards themselves.

If Daniel and his wife truly prioritized the welfare of the women they assert they are helping in Pattaya, it would be far more impactful for them to tackle the root causes of the problems within their home country of Germany. However, this does not appear to be the approach taken by the director of the Tamar Center. Instead, he seems to be pursuing a less than sincere agenda, forming dubious partnerships with Evangelical NGOs, posing significant risks to the traditional Buddhist lifestyle in Thailand. Daniel Vaupel and his wife are not just passive hypocrites. They have embarked upon a life in Pattaya for specific purposes. The first and main reason is money, and the ability to create wealth on cheap and exploited labor.

The Tamar Center asserts its mission is to “rescue” women from the realms of prostitution and sex work, by using volunteer labor to infiltrate and recruit individuals employed in local bars. They entice these bar workers with promises of career advancement and the acquisition of skills that would enable them to earn a sustainable income to support their families. The Tamar Center assures these women that they will be educated on how to become entrepreneurs, thereby gaining control over their lives and achieving financial security. Furthermore, the Tamar Center offers accommodations and employment opportunities; however, the reality is that these women are subsequently compelled to work in the Tamar Center’s bakery and hair salon. The profits generated from these enterprises, primarily derived from the sale of goods and donations from well-meaning but misinformed members of the evangelical community, significantly benefit Daniel and his wife. The women, who have been misled into this arrangement, are told they have been liberated from slavery, with Daniel often labeling those working in Pattaya bars as “sex slaves.” This raises a critical question: where is the true exploitation—within the bars where women earn a living wage, or in the bakery where they receive no share of the profits?

In Germany, Daniel faces significant barriers that prevent him from executing such operational deception. Unlike in his home country, he would be unable to lure women from bars to work without compensation, the legal framework in Germany upholds women’s rights, allowing them the autonomy to earn a living and support their families. Nevertheless, Daniel has redirected his efforts towards an NGO initiative, seeking to capitalize on a distinctly different market. Alongside other NGOs, he targets the economically disadvantaged young women employed in bars in Thailand. The Tamar Center’s website indicates that a majority of these women hail from a region known as Issan.

The majority of women come from Issan, the northeast region of Thailand. Issan is the poorest region of Thailand and has a population of about 22 million, most of them work in agriculture.

There’s your answer. He targets the poorest region in Thailand to exploit for labor. It’s about the money and it’s about living in a beautiful Oceanside City like Pattaya. His motives are supported by his methods. He vilifies bar owners, their staff, and the customers who they provide service for. This is his marketing scheme! He sends photos back to uniformed evangelicals telling them to look at all of the sex slaves in Pattaya. Of course, they don’t know, so they hand over their money to this money-making non-profit NGO. He entices Western women to come and volunteer their time at The Tamar Center. These women believe they are doing God’s work and obey Daniel’s orders to go and recruit labor for his money machine.

Finally, to keep Thai ladies in line, Daniel forces his religion on them. He DEMANDS that the DENOUNCE BUDDHISM. He forces them to learn Christian teachings! This is a tragedy going on in Thailand. “To be Thai is to be Buddhist.” If you do any research at all about Thailand you will uncover the basic religious elements of Thai culture and heritage. Buddhism is the core value and belief within the wonderful land of smiles. This is why The Tamar Center and other NGOs have to wage a HOLY CRUSADE against BUDDHISM. Daniel and The Tamar Center understand they HAVE TO DESTROY BUDDHISM to have a chance of subjecting Thai women to its money-making scheme. Thailand BEWARE! THEY WANT TO DESTROY BUDDHISM and force you to WORK FOR THEM.
